Vote’s vocal tone and timing create a sense of urgency and emotion which reach out of your speakers or headphones, imploring you to heed the call of the lyrics. Vote’s energetic yet moody guitar rhythms provide the perfect backdrop for his lyrics, which use inspired analogies to weave stories, both personal and metaphoric. Playing since the impressionable age of 10, Vote has developed a rare comfort and confidence with a wide variety of instruments (I should know). Raised on classic rock, the blues and classical music, Vote has developed a unique sound that blends bits and pieces from myriad genres. The instrumentation on his debut solo album made both his musical range and his sense of spacing and time very apparent. And I can assure you that the bits and pieces of the follow-up that I’ve taken part in thus far are even better than before. You’ll be hearing from me, I can promise you that.
